In cooperation with the Academy national partner in Sudan, namely the National Information Center (NIC), ESCWA co-implemented three capacity-building workshops on AIGLE modules in Khartoum and Port Sudan (Red Sea State). These workshops are executed under ESCWA framework for technical cooperation program, and are based on the request of the NIC in Sudan to provide technical assistance in this area of capacity building track on AIGLE modules.
The first workshop was dedicated to security hi-level officials. It was held at the Higher Academy for Strategic and Security Studies in Khartoum on November 20, 2016. The second workshop, organized in Port Sudan, was addressed to the ministers and delegates of the Red Sea State, and it took place on 21 November 2016. The third workshop was held on 22 November, 2016 in Port Sudan, and was dedicated to general managers of the State.
The first workshop was opened in the presence of H.E. Dr. Tawfiq Al-Molathem, the Academy director, and Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Rahim Yaseen, the director of NIC, with the participation of 40 trainees. The opening of the second workshop was attended by H.E. the Deputy Governor of the Red Sea State, with 24 participants from State ministers and delegates.
